FlashbulbFlashbulb – A 20th anniversary fanfiction in honor of Miles "Tails" Prower
Timeline placement: Sonic is 20 and Tails is 13 because they decided that was how old they wanted to be.
Warnings: Nothing major, though I suppose I should warn against the lack of plot and dialogue. If you're bored by these stream-of-consciousness type fics then I'd suggest you back out now and save yourself the heartache. (Though, I won't claim this is a true SOC, but it's close enough.) Other than that, it should be suitable for all ages.
Notes: A big happy 20th birthday to our favorite fox! I wish there was more of a celebration for him, but alas, he's not a big deal like Sonic. Shucks. Anyway, this story may be in honor of him, but it's told mainly from Sonic's POV. After all, sometimes, those who are closest to us know us better than we know ourselves.
Disclaimer: All recognizable material belongs to SEGA.
Dedication: To my bestie,

Notes: "What-if, after traveling all the way to the present, Classic Sonic and Tails can't get back to their own time at the end of Generations?"
Okay guys, I can flat out tell you that I have no idea how Sonic Generations ends (it's a shock that any of us knows how it starts, considering how tight-lipped SEGA is about the whole thing), and this whole thing is a what-if I've been sitting on for a while now. It's not supposed to be taken seriously, especially in regards to the actual game.
Oh and Classic Sonic can now speak! HUZZAH! I'm not dealing with the telepathic link he and Classic Tails possibly share… Because there's no other explanation as to how Tailsy is speaking for him… (Yeah, I know body language and a possible thought-decoder thing can be consid

NOTES: This one I found hiding in my computer. I don't remember much about what I was going for, but it's just the same. More Sonic and Tails goodness, because I love their brotherly relationship. Enjoy.
Sonic sighed as he walked his way into the living room, the morning sunlight streaming through the open window warming the whole house to a comfortable temperature. His socked feet made no noise on the carpet and his recently gloved hands were laced behind his head in a pose of pure relaxation. He was well rested all the way down to his bones and was currently filled with an extreme love for life and the simple joys it brought. The hedgehog moseyed his way through the house slowly, and the very nature of his movements would have seemed foreign to anyone who even knew him remotely but he was content and that was all that mattered really.
The scene he strolled into was one of fam

NOTES: This one was written mainly as a battle practice, but it kinda took on a life of its own. I'm sorry if it seems rushed, but I'm mainly going for entertainment value, not quantity or quality. These are meant for practices and experiments, not fully flung novels with expressed plots and developed characters. With that in mind, enjoy some Sonic and Tails goodness.
"Tails, get down!" Sonic's voice came from somewhere behind him, and Tails wasted no time dropping to the ground, pressing his nose into the dirt and feeling his stomach dig into the gravel. Suddenly, something landed on his back, knocking the breath out of his lungs and making him gasp aloud. Around him, an explosion – so violent that only a Chaotic Missile could have created it – blasted around him, showering him with dirt and disintegrated plant particles.

Interlude - 100 Themes: 1 - 4
Notes: I started up on the 100 Themes Challenge (for the third time). I'm shooting for the 100 word mark with all of these, but that pretty much got shot out of the water with the first one. So, they're just a way for me to keep writing in between chapters and such. Originally, these were supposed to be posted in groups of ten, but then I cut that down to five. THEN, I got writers block on the fifth, so I just decided to screw it and post the four I have. Enjoy!
There were three things that Sonic loved more than anything in the world.
One was running.
The second was chili dogs.
"Sonic the Hedgehog!"
The third was introducing himself with a smile and a thumbs up.
Amy Rose was utterly convinced that she was in love with Sonic the Hedgehog. Her heart fluttered when she saw him, her breath sped up when

Notes: ONE HUNDRED REVIEWS? WHAT. NO WAY. ALKSDJFKLAJDKLAJKLASDJLFKJA;D Thank you guys, soooooo much. You don't even know how much this means to me… (The review counter on this story is wrong. I do actually have 100 reviews. Dunno why it's stuck on 95.) I'm posting this one so soon after the last one because of the 100 reviews. Don't expect them so close together all of the time.
100th review was submitted by DanceDream! You get a prize! Look down at the bottom for more info!
This one takes place during Generations, more specifically during Sonic and the Black Knight.
Tails had gotten used to having his younger self around. At least, as used to it as he could get in the short amount of time he'd had during this adventure. They had been hurled through time, his past flying at him and hitting him in the face. He'd been forced to relive his horrifying experience on Cocoa Island, h

"Agh! That's awful!"
Notes: Okay, so what was it about the last chapter? Knuckles too manly for you people or something? I mean, if you didn't like it, at least tell me, would you?
This one was inspired by Summer Wars. Love that movie.
Sonic hated seeing any of his friends agitated, so when he happened across Tails, sitting in the dark one night, only the light of the computer screen in front of him illuminating the room, he felt his stomach drop. The fox was pounding his fingers into the desktop in front of him, one keystroke bleeding into the next, and his eyes were wide and unblinking, glaring at the 3D image in front of him. Sonic walked up quietly, glancing at the clock in the bottom right corner of the screen (2:53) out of habit before easing his line of sight away from the clock and towards the middle of the screen, focusing on the cause of his friend's anxiety. He felt his eyes widen without his consent.

"You Will Never Hit Me!"
Notes: Okay, something I need to address. Classic Knuckles. He exists in this story because back in ficlet number nine, I put him into the story. So now I'm stuck with him, because I'm not one to change something I've done previously. So, yes, there's a Classic Knuckles in this. I don't care if he wasn't in Generations. He's in this. My story. My rules.
Halfway through this, I was filled with such a LOVE for the Sonic series that I had to stop and go express it in a bunch of squeals and squees. Then I watched the OVA. STRANGE ISN'T IT? !
Knuckles loved Angel Island and its solitude. He enjoyed the way the silence seemed to ring around him, a pleasant toll that chimed everywhere he went. It was a lone note, that silence, but it was his kindred spirit, accompanying him wherever he went on the Island. It was his sole companion, only punctuated by the smallest of wing flaps from birds in Sky Sanctuary, icicle fa
How It Began"God, your two o'clock is here."
"I have a two o'clock?"
"He's been here since 7:45. I figured it's only polite to... sir."
God sighed. "Fine, send him in."
While He waited God cleared His desk of papers and blueprints; no need for outsiders to see His plans. Soon enough the door to His office opened and God stood, smiled, held out a hand towards one of the two visitor's chairs.
"God! Great stuff you're doing in sector 2-7-0! Great stuff!"
The man's hands were clammy, his handshake limp. Rumpled suit, porkpie hat, briefcase... oh Jes-- oh dear, a salesman. God's smile slipped a little but He soldiered on gamely. With luck He could shoo the poor guy away in a few minutes.
"So, what can I do for you?"
The man sat, briefcase across his knees. "Sector 2-7-0! Everyone's talking about it! What do you call it? Man and merman?"
"Man and woman, actually. And thanks. But we're pretty busy around here, and..."
"Oh! Right! No time for the wicked, eh?" The salesman winked and popped his briefcase,
